Unlike Moraine Lake, Lake Louise remains accessible by vehicle. However, parking is paid and the parking lot is often full during peak season, particularly between sunrise and approximately 6:00 PM. During the summer months, finding parking can be challenging without arriving very early in the day or later in the evening.

For photography sessions, I often recommend scheduling in the evening when the crowds begin to thin and the light becomes softer and more flattering. This can create a more relaxed experience while still allowing you to enjoy the beauty of the lake.

If an evening session isn’t possible, it’s important to plan transportation in advance. Similar to Moraine Lake, shuttle services are available and can be a convenient option during busy periods. Another excellent choice is staying at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, which provides direct access to the lake and allows guests to fully enjoy the area without the stress of parking or transportation logistics.
